MAINTAINING
AND PROTECTING
GREAT VALUE

We offer a highly specialised control manager to analyse expenses and foresee any genuinely necessary investments.

THE “PIAZZA DEI MESTIERI” FOUNDATION

This Foundation is based in Turin. Its goals are to educate and to stimulate the development of local entrepreneurship. The Foundation owns a facility known as the “Piazza dei Mestieri”.
This facility is formed of two buildings: the first one is an old tannery where a restaurant, a pub, a printing house, a “chocolate workshop” and a craft brewery have been built; while the second building has been turned into a centre for “multimedia innovation, production and training” equipped with computer rooms, a projection room, a recording studio, traditional classrooms and offices.

THEIR NEED
In addition to certain unspoken requirements, the client needed to optimise the maintenance process of the properties in order to:

safeguard the installation assets
reduce routine and non-routine maintenance costs
increase the service quality for people who experience the “Piazza”
save energy

OUR SOLUTION
We provided the client with a highly specialized Control Manager who implemented a periodic cycle structured around the following phases:

prior control and budget preparation
concurrent control alongside management
follow-up control that concludes the work and involves notifying the stakeholders of the identified indicators in order to support the subsequent budgeting cycle.

We then suggested launching an information system or a “Service Portal”, which would provide the right information to the right people at the right time.

BENEFITS
The most important goal achieved by the company was launching new management procedures that would let the Management monitor the maintenance process of the properties and to make more rational decisions on the work to be done.

RESULTS

Planned work
Maintenance monitoring
Cost impact
Customer satisfaction
